Eco Tips | Gift Guides

December 6, 2018

Surprisingly enough, the time of year has come around again. I don’t know about you, but doesn’t it seem so difficult to buy for people nowadays? Seems with the ability to order things directly from our devices from a click of a button, has made it much harder for the gift givers.

Gift giving can be tricky to say the least. This is way I have  handpicked some of my favorite goodies that are not only great for your fellow natural friends, but also, your pocketbook, environment, and the animals!

With these unique and heart-warming vegan gift ideas, no wish will stay unfulfilled. And since you’re a deserving and precious person too, don’t feel guilty getting a few of these items for yourself.

Now, let’s get started!

For the healthy chef:

100% Vegan & Natural Coconut Bowls and Wooden Spoons/Forks

These beautiful instagram worthy bowls are from reclaimed coconut shells – absolutely no chemicals  used, handmade, vegan, and are even great for kids. Perfect for smoothie bowls, acai, fruits, salads, buddha bowls, ice cream, cereal, and basically anything you can imagine! Those smoothie bowl chefs will be saying, “how did you know?”

Vegetable Spiralizer

I think a veggie spiralizer is a must in every healthy chefs life. Its a perfect way to switch up pasta, make a raw dish, or spice up a salad. I used to have a large one with all the gadgets and blades; I never used it. This one is so much more convenient and easier to clean.

You have probably heard of this multi-use kitchen tool and for good reason. I probably use this thing more than any other kitchen appliance (aside from my vitamix of course). You can cook anything from soups, fluffy rice, dog food, seitan, and even jams!

Reusable Straws

Everything eco in my world now and one of the easiest things to give up was plastic straws. Not only do you feel cool and trendy, but they fit perfectly with my next gift suggestion. They are just what your healthy chef needs to sip her smoothie. Make sure to use this unique code: ASHWAR10. This

Healthy Human Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I don’t typically recommend multiple products from the same company but I would be lying if I didn’t say this is the best water bottle I have experienced. I have 2 Tumblers and a Stein and everywhere I go, people ask me where I got it. Keeps things cold for 24 hours, and things hot for 12. So you can be sure that your friends smoothie or wine will stay fresh and coffee will stay hot. I recommend snagging yourself one too! Trust me, you will fall in love! Make sure to use this unique code: ASHWAR10. This

Electric Ceramic Tea Kettle

One of the best things Shane and I bought for our kitchen was an Electric Tea Kettle. Not only is it super cute to leave out on your counter but its so convenient. Next time you are over at your gift receiver’s home, see if they have one of these. If not, make sure to add this to your cart.

Wheatgrass Growing Kit

Several natural-minded mamas listed “something green” as a nice gift that they enjoy for their homes. This growing tray is a fun way to have some green in your kitchen that adds health benefits. A perfect compliment to this gift would be a manual wheatgrass juicer. This gift is fun and unique! You will be a gift giver who stands out.

Calphalon Self-Sharpening 15-piece Knife Set with Sharp-In

This is the exact set we have and it has revolutionized my cooking. Seriously, working with bad knives can make cooking a pain – both literally and figuratively. These high-quality knives have handles that ensure a comfortable, secure grip and come in all the different sizes you’ll need. There is nothing worse than a dull knife right? Well, the best part of this set is that they have a built in sharpener.

Bees Wax Wrap

This trendy new alternative to plastic wrap is a must for every eco-friendly kitchen. Now that they have grown, there are tons of cute patterns to choose from.  These are sustainable, natural, and compostable. Wrap
up cheese, fruit, vegetables, cookies, and sandwiches. Cover a bowl, or pack a snack for your next adventure. Use as a
place mat, or bundle up hiking and backpacking tools, utensils, and toiletries for zero waste camping.

Tea Infuser Mug

Do you have that friend that is always sipping on tea? Give them the gift of this minimalist tea infuser mug. Brewing a nice warm tea out of fresh leaves makes for a super cozy and flavorful drink. Plus, with every sip, they will be thinking about how thoughtful you are.

Compost Bin

Let your crunchy cook compost in style. This bin is incredibly handy for cooking food, storing bunches of food scraps. This compost bin will last for ages! Its easy! Simply put fruit and vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grinds, filters and tea bags into the composter and dump into outside compost when full.
